I don't have enough good things to say about Scott Milner and FMLT. He and his paralegal Donna (later Emily) were everything I needed during one of the most difficult chapters of my life. Hiring an attorney to create a prenuptial has to be one of the most anxiety inducing events, pre-wedding. Amy Lambert was thorough, insightful, calming and educational. I met with eight family attorneys but was not happy with any of them until I found Scott Milner. He is the best of the best family law attorneys, not only from my experience and the positive outcomes of my divorce and child custody, but also confirmed by other attorneys who practice laws in the Austin areas. I heard horrible stories from friends who have irresponsible attorneys who were nowhere to be found when needed, or who showed up on court under prepared. Scott was perfectly prepared for all my trials (much thanked to his paralegal Donna Steen, too). He was resourceful and always had resolutions for my issues/crises during my 21-month long divorce process. My most recent trial (Enforcement suit, my ex did not follow divorce decree) was this month - Dec 2021, and Scott excelled, as usually.He was quick and very effective to respond to urgent matters that I had. One time when my ex was abusive, harassed me and I could not make him stop. I called Scott but his office was closed for Christmas holidays. I did not expect him to call me back until he returned to the office, but he called me back right away and went to court that same day to get a court order and resolved the issue with my ex so he'd leave me alone.Donna Steen, Scott's paralegal is also the best of the best. She is kind, thorough, responsive, experienced, and knowledgeable. She is super organized and always stays on top of things in preparing docs for trials, filing petitions, and necessary paperwork for child support payments, etc. I appreciate her expertise and her management of Scott's schedule, communications, filings, paperwork so things get done more quickly. Also, Scott Milner does not have to do these tasks which helps bring down the legal costs.I highly recommend Scott Milner and Donna Steen!

I am not exaggerating when I say that Jami Turner saved my family. I contacted her when my ex-husband and I went to mediation regarding our original custody agreement, and I was so happy with her that I strongly recommended her to my current husband, who also retained her for his custody issues at the time.In my case, I can say with certainty that If Jami had been my original lawyer, I would not have found myself in the situation that warranted her help in the first place. He is now on board with my daughter's care and treatment, he regularly attends family meetings , he has agreed to share activities with me, he follows through most of the time, and he is much more involved in her care. My daughter no longer cries on the way to his house, and many of her issues have dissipated as he has stepped up his engagement. These are just some of the many rights Jami secured for me that drastically improved our lives.In my current husband's case, the results of Jami's help have been even more staggering. Thanks to her, my husband secured co-primary custody, 50/50 visitation, a guardian ad litem who both advocated for the children and set them up with therapists who continue to advocate for them and ensured mom's compliance, adherence to a set schedule, and participation in their care. These issues had overwhelmed our family for years and dramatically affected the children's well being. The results of her help have been so wonderful. It's like our family has been reborn.I know that sounds dramatic, but it is 100% true. Gracie Shepherd was our attorney in my custody battle for my son. It was a long brutal fight that involved multiple hearings in front of multiple judges. I can’t say enough positive about Gracie Wood Shepard. I worked with her a few years ago when she was newer and she did a wonderful job repping me in my divorce. So great, in fact, that I hired her again recently for a pretty outrageously complex series of legal issues. She is organized, calm, collected, BRILLIANT, legally savvy and very well-educated and clearly knows the law. She is also well-supported by her firm and shared that she collaborates with the other attorneys in her office often...which I love. She was very cool and articulate in court. I would like to preface this review with the fact that I ended up feeling like I got far less than I deserve, in fact my lawyer almost garanteed i would get a significantly more substantial settlement if I were to take the case to trial.This being said I think that I could not have had a more competent, patient and professional mediator. I highly recommend Scott Milner and Lindsay Partridge. Scott Milner became my family law attorney about 7 years ago during the appeal process of a long custody trial. Two previous lawyers had not been attentive and allowed this suit to go on far too long. He took over the case and brought it to a resolution. At that point it was obvious to me that he was a very good lawyer. When a second custody dispute came up, Scott handled it quickly through mediation. I came to Jami Milner Turner in 2007 with a desperate situation: the mother of my one year old girl had suddenly taken her away to live on her parent's property in the middle of nowhere, Texas, 200 miles from our home in Austin. Jami was up front about my chances of convincing a judge to force her to return to Austin (they were not good) but tackled the case determined to do just that. She did it. After a bench trial, the judge ordered them to return to Austin within 30 days.
